Class Descriptions

AQUATIC FITNESS - (45 minutes)
Would you enjoy a great workout without pain? This complete pool workout includes cardiovascular conditioning, strength training using various water equipment, balance training and flexibility.

AQUA ZUMBA®
This course is the "pool party" workout for all ages.  You'll learn how to perform safe, effective and challenging water-based exercises that integrate the ZUMBA® formula and philosophy into traditional aqua fitness.

AWESOME ABS - (30 minutes)
Challenge your CORE! A fun approach to strengthening the major muscles of the torso, including the abdominals, obliques, spinal musculature, and gluteals.

BOOT CAMP
A fun and challenging cardiovascular & strength work out in a circuit training format…Military Style! This class incorporates all of our toys…steps, jump ropes, hula hoops, cones, agility ladder, rings, light hand weights, Exer-tubes, Exer-balls, Your Own Body Weight, etc. Any fitness level is welcome.

CARDIO KICKBOXING:
This workout packs more than a punch!!  ANY skill level can attend this class. You will work at you own PACE. You will learn non-contact self defense techniques while improving your cardiovascular system; upper, lower and core body strength; and balance.  The challenges are endless with cardiovascular intervals and/or additional strength training with Exer-balls, Exer-tubes, light hand weights, or the good ol’ fashioned “Your Own Body Weight”.

PiYo  - (45 Minutes)
PiYo is an athletic fusion style strength and flexibility mat class blending Pilates & Yoga.  It combines energetic, powerful moves into a fluid, challenging workout for everyone.  It includes modifications for the group exercise environment, yet offers exercise progressions to challenge all levels of participants.

POWER PUMP
The hottest Group Strength Training workout around! Use free weight equipment to get a great full body strength training workout. We recommend a maximum of 2-3 Power Pump classes per week (never 2 consecutive days) to allow your body maximum recovery results.

SENIOR POWER PUMP - (45 minutes)
A gentle strength training class with free weights, Exer-balls, and Exer-tubes. This is a FUN opportunity for ANYONE to safely learn the basic technique of each Power Pump exercise while benefiting strength, bone mass and balance.

SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength & Range of Movement (45 minutes)
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SilverSneakers® Cardio Circuit (45 minutes)
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.

SilverSneakers® YogaStretch (45 minutes)
YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

SPINNING®
The original indoor cycling program, Spinning® is more than a workout – it’s a philosophy. At its core, Spinning® is a journey to health and fitness, an opportunity for you to not only experience an incredible training program, but also personal challenge, camaraderie and energy – all at your own pace. Whether you ride to get stronger, nurture your body and spirit, sweat out the events of the day or reinvent yourself, Spinning® is your ride. Only one program brings it all together – Spinning®.

STEP
This high energy cardio class is great for all skill levels.  A great challenge to the lower body while stepping up and down on the REEBOK Step.  Upper body movements are added to further intensify this workout.

STEP & STRENGTH
Do you want to kill two workout birds with one stone? Well, STEP & STRENGTH is your ammunition! This is a complete workout that is great for all STEP skill levels. Fifteen minute intervals of STEP combinations are combined with five minute intervals of STRENGTH training using free weights, Exer-tubes, and Exer-balls.

YOGA
Over 5,000 years old, yoga literally means union of body, mind and spirit.  It has been used throughout the centuries to promote and maintain physical and mental health, flexibility and youthfulness.  Yoga focuses on flexibility and strength training.  We will also learn breathing and relaxation techniques.  Everyone can use a little relaxation and meditation in their daily routines.

ZUMBA®
Hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away.  Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked.  Zumba® Fanatics achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in 45-60 minutes of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!  The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.  Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got Zumba®!
 


All classes are one hour in length, unless otherwise specified. We reserve the right to change the instructor without prior notice and cancel any class with low attendance.

A minimum of three (3) members are needed to hold a class with the exception of SilverSneakers® classes.

An average of fifteen (15) members are needed for a class to be continued on to the next month.
